Potable and irrigation water are in place, Electrical Permit in for HECO drop and graded flat areas, so a buyer can start farming right away.

2. What things do you like most about this home and living here?

It is a wild, unique property. It sits on the rim of a 500-foot canyon with sweeping ocean and mountain views. There is no other property on the North Shore like this one. It is quiet, open country, and the sunsets over the ocean are hard to beat.

3. What factors influenced your decision to move here?

The land, the views and the North Shore. I have owned property here since about 2012 and built my business in Waialua.

Very light. Kaukonahua Road is a quiet country road. The only real traffic on the North Shore is Kamehameha Highway through Haleiwa on big-surf days and weekends.

Haleiwa town and the beaches are about 10 minutes away and the H-2 is about 15. Honolulu is roughly 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic.

It is still real country. Kaala Ainalani Estates is a small agricultural project of 19 units on 111 acres, surrounded by farmland, with the Waianae Mountains on one side and the ocean on the other.

7. What are your favorite restaurants and places to shop?

Haleiwa town has the North Shore’s restaurants, shave ice, surf shops and galleries. Waialua has the Sugar Mill, home to local businesses including Haleiwa Distilling Company. 10 mins to Mililani.

8. Are there any events in your neighborhood that a new buyer would like to know about?

The Waialua Farmers Market at the Sugar Mill, and the winter big-wave season on the North Shore, including the professional surf contests at Haleiwa, Sunset and Pipeline.

9. Are there any other attractive features about this home or neighborhood that we have not covered?

The adjoining Unit 18 (6.66 acres) is also for sale. A buyer can take Unit 19 on its own for $995,000, or both units together, about 14 acres, for $2,795,000.
